Magaluf concept design is a sole for summer shoes inspired by Mediterranean islands. Beaches, summer mood and nature are the key elements of Magaluf. The project is carried on by a small creative team, led by Nicola Zacchi, who is looking for a new way to express style in shoes.
Nicola Zacchi has a degree in communication from the University of Milan, and has an eye for fashion and trends. He spent long periods abroad and this gave him a wider knowledge on styles and less-known brands. Thanks to all this, together with the design team of BCF, he developed the project of a summer shoe sole and now he is going to tell us everything about it.
The inspiration behind Magaluf came during some trips to the Balearic Islands, looking at some of the traditional local shoes like Avarcas and Espadrillas. From this experience came the idea to have a comfortable shoe ideal for walking, going to the beach and to the city at the same time. Bright colours are the key element of this new type of shoes that are linked to Spanish traditional patterns and atmospheres.
Not really, the key element is that Magaluf can be used in various situations and on all terrains, on the beach but also in the city, a summer shoe ideal for everywhere. The difficult part is to find an unsaturated market. The competition is hard in the Spanish market as it is to have an original product out there, but the idea is to propose something unique made by the freedom to experiment. Of course then the Made in Italy is another main characteristic of our concept design.
The main features are versatility and flexibility, both achieved thanks to the rubber sole. Resistance is also a very important character, as it is to a have good grip on all terrains. The colours of the sole will be white and natural rubber, while for the upper we are thinking of bright tones that will recall Mediterranean sunsets.
We are thinking of making a winter model of Magaluf, a “beach shoe for cold weather”, similar to the original summer version but with a more resistant upper made of leather. Here for the colours we forsee a black or natural rubber sole with dark uppers. The name of all the models will always be associated with iberian cities, neighbourhoods or beaches, like for example Gràcia or Malasaña.
In Italy over 28 million people use a smartphone to surf the web. The increasing number of connections and brings new habits to the users. Shopping, information, maps, video, users search in every situation, looking at their phone over 150 times in a day.
But search engines are not just looking, Google has made lots of modifications to search, introducing and considered mobile friendly site with growing interest, offering new tools for business to measure behavior and preferences of users. An interesting trend that in this period of time is one of the hot topics in this year in digital.
In the world of digital marketing in 2016 a key important is content and diffusion.
Content marketing is a growing trend, during the years we have seen many articles in blog and social media about almost every argument. Many studies confirmed the important of a content marketing strategy to search and find new potentials costumers.
We have started to a web with few contents, and is seems like far west spaces. During the years users had become smart and more efficient to seek consume content. Today, contents are everywhere, and we are often searching for filters , as we seen in many online news feed success.
About search engines, the competition to be in the position of a higher result in Google is even harder.
A little history…

Sustainable design is the way to create objects and furniture starting from sustainable materials. It’s a growing trend in today design. We have asked to designer Zeno Cutino to tell us the inspiration behind the design of his last work, the shoe rack Eco.
Graduate in industrial design at Academia di Belle Arti in Verona, Zeno developed his style of design to the wood, a material that he studied and use it designing objects, accessories and furniture.

What we want to communicate? How to make a product better?
These are only few questions that we ask before creating a photography shooting.
Making a photo unforgettable is not easy, we need artistic sensibility, technical mastering and the right attention to details. It’s not only about photography; we need to know well how lights interact with materials, so we can use reflexes to create a better quality of our photo. All the photos that you can see here are made by Eros Mauroner, great experience photographer.
Iginio Massari’s Pastry of Precision is a real integrated project, a sort of circle. Open with the realization of the official website and completed with the products, recipes, video and social network.
From the beginning there’s a question: how to communicate exclusivity of this line of tool?
These are the step of our project:
